I’ve lived in the Northwoods of Wisconsin for nearly 30 years and I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. There’s no doubt the Harshaw community is a beautiful place not only to visit but to set down roots too, and my pride in having the opportunity to call this place home is deep.
And what do you want when you’re proud to call a place home? For me it was apparel designed to show that.
Considering Harshaw is in a tourist belt, I imagined there would be some outlet where I could purchase such apparel with simply “Harshaw, Wisconsin” on it. While I wear T-shirts and Hoodies from the local establishments around town, my search for clothing demonstrating my Harshaw pride went unfulfilled for many years. And then I decided to design my own shirt.
I received so many compliments and “Where did you get that?” questions on that particular Tee I began to consider that others might also enjoy Harshaw apparel and so…Harshawmerch was born!
I have to admit it’s been quite a learning curve creating apparel designs and then opening an on-line store. Technology is a great tool for sure but ever changing and immense. There were some frustrating moments but I persevered because of my belief that fellows locals, and the many visitors who come to Harshaw in all seasons, would also enjoy the sort of apparel I created to feature in the Harshawmerch Shop. If you are looking for that perfect gift for yourself, a Harshaw local, cottage owner or Northwoods vacationer Harshawmerch is a great place to shop!
At Harshawmerch.com you will find not only stylish designed sweats and Tees but also some whimsical fun and designs featuring a playful take on our Goodnow burg. In addition, there is children’s apparel, and other merchandise including a knit beanie and a coffee mug.
